Key Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Fitter/Boilermaker for a challenging role in Brisbane. The ideal candidate will be responsible for modifying and installing new or used vehicle loading cranes and hook loaders, as well as assisting other workshop installation fitters with new crane or hookloader installs.

Job Responsibilities
  • Modifying and installing new or used vehicle loading cranes and hook loaders
  • Assembly and disassembly of vehicle loading cranes and hookloaders
  • Assembly of RHS subframes according to engineering specifications
  • Assisting other workshop installation fitters with new crane or hookloader installs
  • Completing quality and process control documentation
  • Installing ancillary electrical, mechanical, and/or hydraulic components associated with pre-delivery inspections or installations
  • Maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to site policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Prior experience in a similar industry
  • Hold a Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade, or equivalent qualification
  • Experience working on heavy vehicles
  • Advantage: Experience with cranes and/or hook loaders
  • Ability to interpret drawings and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work safely
  • Good time management and work prioritization skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • Current Driver's license, HR preferable
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and a National Police Check
