Site Reliability Engineer/Support Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer/Support Analyst to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of data infrastructure and applications.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring, maintaining, and enhancing the performance, availability, and reliability of data processing systems and Spark platforms through automation, proactive mitigation, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Collaborating with data engineers, developers, and stakeholders for seamless data solution integration and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Identifying automation opportunities to improve system efficiency, implementing scripts, and optimizing workflows.
  • Providing production support, conducting root cause analysis, and maintaining documentation for incident management.
  • Ensuring compliance with ITIL, data security, and backup standards, maintaining detailed runbooks and aligning with IT controls.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, or related field.
  • Proven track record as an SRE or similar role in Data Engineering, managing Spark platforms.

Technical expertise includes:

  • Proficiency in PySpark, Spark, Hadoop, Hive.
  • Experience with data pipelines and troubleshooting Spark issues.
  • Knowledge of data orchestration tools and distributed computing.
  • Strong Linux, networking, CPU, memory, and storage fundamentals.

Soft skills include:

  • Problem-solving, attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
