Veterinary Microbiologist

About the Job

We are seeking an accomplished Veterinarian with a strong background in Microbiology to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and conducting research in Veterinary Bacteriology and Mycology, as well as participating in Graduate Teaching.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

* Participating in team-taught courses in Veterinary Bacteriology and Mycology and Introduction to Microbiology (Virology Module)

* Participating in Essential Clinical Skills Laboratories (Bacteriology Module)

* Participating in Graduate Teaching (online Master's in One Health)

* Developing an independent and/or collaborative research program resulting in publications in peer-reviewed journals

Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must possess:

* A DVM or comparable degree (MD, Microbiology degree) with a PhD

* Post-doctoral training and Diplomate status is highly desirable

* Experience in Clinical Diagnostic Bacteriology/Microbiology such as culture and isolation techniques, molecular diagnostics, antimicrobial susceptibility testing and automation

* A track record of publishing in quality journals, as well as potential to collaborate or develop an independent research program
