Job Title: Fixed Plant Maintenance Fitter

This is a stable and secure position as a Fixed Plant Maintenance Fitter in Canberra.

The ideal candidate will possess trade qualification or equivalent experience in mechanical maintenance and have proven experience on conveyor belts, crushing and screening equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair conveyor belt systems, crushers, screens, and fixed plant.
  • Carry out welding and fabrication on mobile and fixed plant.
  • Complete site-wide modifications and routine preventive maintenance.
  • Diagnose faults, source parts, and return equipment to service safely.
  • Work Saturday shifts and paid overtime when required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Trade qualification or strong equivalent experience in mechanical maintenance.
  • Proven experience on conveyor belts, crushing and screening equipment.
  • Competent welding and fabrication skills.
  • Sound preventive maintenance and diagnostic skills.
  • Strong time management, attention to detail, and teamwork.
