The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Ecological Research Officer to join our team in the temperate woodlands of south eastern Australia. The successful applicant will be responsible for conducting high-quality flora and fauna surveys, as well as providing research and advice to support research and policy activities undertaken by the Sustainable Farms initiative.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting fieldwork in temperate woodland ecosystems, including flora and fauna surveys
  • Providing research and advice to support research and policy activities
  • Collaborating with farmers and NRM organisations to support long-term ecological monitoring

Requirements

  • Relevant degree in ecological/conservation science and/or agriculture
  • Experience in conducting high-quality flora and fauna surveys in temperate woodland ecosystems
  • Sound knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
