Technical Mechanic Position

The primary responsibility of this role is to perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on a fleet of vehicles.

  • Identify and diagnose mechanical faults in our vehicle fleet, conducting thorough inspections and assessments.
  • Dismantle engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components to thoroughly inspect for wear and replacement requirements.
  • Repair and replace worn and defective parts across our fleet, reassembling mechanical components as needed.
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance services across our fleet, including oil changes, lubrications, and engine tune-ups, to ensure safe and efficient running of our fleet.
  • Test all mechanical parts after being repaired to guarantee that repairs are adequately completed.
  • Inspect our fleet daily for roadworthiness and maintain accurate records of inspections carried out.
  • Respond to vehicle breakdowns and conduct off-site repairs as required.
  • Maintain high standards of practice and awareness in relation to quality assurance and safety management.
  • Ensure compliance with Safe Work Systems for all maintenance activities on site.
  • Support with the transportation of product as needed and load and unload product.
  • Operate manual handling equipment according to SOP.
  • Maintain general housekeeping to ensure worksite safety is adhered to.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering (preferred).
  • 3 years of experience in the oil and gas industry (preferred).
