The successful candidate will have a PhD in a relevant field of Science – microbiology, inflammation, or gastroenterology – and demonstrate exceptional research skills, including data analysis skills.
Responsibilities include conducting research, publishing outcomes in high-quality outlets, and contributing to the supervision of honours, postgraduate students, and professional staff.
This position is part of the IBD Group and will work closely with Prof Mark Morison's microbiology group, focusing on understanding the genetic, immunologic, environmental, and microbial drivers of gut inflammation and developing novel therapies to treat gut inflammation and restore gut homeostasis.
What You Will Be Doing- Conducting research in molecular microbiology, computational methods, cellular biology, and animal models
- Publishing outcomes in high-quality scientific outlets
- Contributing to the supervision of junior staff and students
You will be working in a dynamic team environment, collaborating with experienced researchers and contributing to the development of innovative treatments for patients suffering from gastrointestinal diseases.
About You- PhD in microbiology, inflammation, or gastroenterology

- Demonstrated experience in supervising and mentoring junior staff and students
