Senior Game Software Engineer

We're seeking a talented professional to design and develop high-performance game engines and features. As a Senior Game Software Engineer, you'll blend creativity with technical mastery to create engaging real-time casino experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implement Scalable Game Systems: Develop scalable, high-performance game systems that deliver seamless player experiences across devices.
  • Collaborate with Designers and Engineers: Work with designers, artists, and backend engineers to bring new game concepts to life, from prototypes through to production.
  • Optimise Game Performance: Optimise game logic, animations, and rendering performance for a seamless player experience.
  • Build and Maintain Math Engines: Build and maintain math engines, RNG integration, and payout logic with accuracy and compliance in mind.
  • Provide Technical Leadership: Lead, guide, mentor, and level up fellow engineers.
  • Ensure Quality and Reliability: Ensure quality, reliability, and scalability through code reviews, performance profiling, and automated testing.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience: 10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in game development (casino, casual, or AAA).
  • Skills: Strong skills in game frameworks and engines (e.g., Pixi.js, Phaser, Unity, Cocos2d, or custom engines). Proficiency in Go, TypeScript, or C++, with strong fundamentals in algorithms, networking, and performance optimisation.
  • Cloud Platforms and Containerisation: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes). Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
  • Problem-Solving and Communication Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, ability to balance technical tradeoffs in game design. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
