Job Title: Orthotist

This role involves providing comprehensive orthotic services to adults and children with disabilities.

  • Assessment, measurement, fabrication, and provision of orthotic solutions tailored to the specific needs of adults and children with disabilities.
  • Provision of comprehensive orthotic services in accordance with various funding body requirements.
  • Fabrication of orthoses using traditional and digital methodologies.
  • Provision of centre-based and community-based services as needed.
  • Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including customers and their support networks.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Orthotics and Prosthetics are essential.
  • Current registration with the Australian Orthotic Prosthetic Association is mandatory.
  • Experience working as a clinician within the disability sector is required.
  • Knowledge of strengths-based practice and family-centred approaches is necessary.
  • Leadership experience and ability to apply theoretical frameworks to inform clinical practice.
