Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at NSW Health. As a Registered Nurse in our Operating Theatres, you will be responsible for providing person-centred, evidence-based nursing care that promotes positive health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Provide supervision and support for less experienced clinicians.
- Maintain professional accountability and development in accordance with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council Competency Standards.
- Align professional conduct with the NSW Health CORE Values.
Requirements
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse (Division 1).
- Recent clinical experience in Operating Theatres.
- Knowledge of Infection Control and Standard Precautions.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer literacy and understanding of relevant health-related information systems.
- Demonstrated understanding of person-centred care and NSW Health Core Values.
- Demonstrates an understanding of the Continuous Quality Improvement concepts.
