About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Local Area Coordinator to join our team at Uniting NSW.ACT. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants to achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert guidance and support to NDIS participants to understand their funding and make informed choices.
  • Develop and implement personalized plans to help participants achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.
  • Build strong relationships with participants, their families, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless support and coordination.
  • Collaborate with the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) and other service providers to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest NDIS policies, procedures, and best practices to provide the highest level of support.

Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications and experience in a related field, such as social work, disability support, or community services.
