Bairnsdale Regional Health Service is offering a unique opportunity for a Medical Registrar to join our team in a rural placement. This role will provide you with the chance to gain significant skills and experience in a broad spectrum of medical conditions and post-operative care.

The Medical Department at BRHS provides services across a range of care, including the Medical/Surgical ward, High Dependency Unit, and a variety of specialist services. As a Medical Registrar, you will work closely with a small team of dedicated professionals to provide high-quality assessment and care to inpatients with a broad range of low and high acuity medical patients.

This role offers a great opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive environment, with regular access to education and training opportunities. You will benefit from exposure to a broad scope of practice and the chance to work with a multidisciplinary health team.

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (or equivalent)
  • Eligibility for General Registration with minimum level 3 supervision
  • Minimum 3 years of postgraduate experience in clinical medicine, including extensive experience in General and/or Internal Medicine setting
  • AMC parts 1 and 2 passed
  • Competence in advanced life support techniques
