The Australian Government Graduate Program is a unique opportunity for graduates to kick-start their careers in the public sector.

About the Role

This graduate program offers a 11-month development experience that will equip you with the skills and knowledge to succeed in a dynamic and challenging environment.

  • Through our rotational program, you will have the chance to work across various teams and gain exposure to different areas of government policy and law.
  • Our comprehensive induction program will ensure you are well-equipped to begin your role.
  • You will also have access to structured learning and development opportunities, including a graduate major project and practical legal training (if eligible).

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this program, you must:

  • Be an Australian citizen at the time of application.
  • Have completed at least an Australian Qualifications Framework Level 7 qualification (a Bachelor degree) or higher equivalent, or will have completed it by December 2026.
  • Have completed your most recent eligible qualification between January 2022 and December 2026.
  • Satisfy pre-employment checks.

If successful, you will be engaged as a graduate in the Entry Level Programs Broadband as an APS Level 4 equivalent. Upon completion of the graduate program, you will advance to an APS Level 5.
