Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer Technician to join our team at Capral. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring detailed drawings and designs for quality extrusion dies are available to meet production demands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Design and develop new extrusion dies, as well as troubleshoot and problem-solve die failures.
- Quality Assurance: Collect data, inspect, and correct extrusion dies to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze die failure and interpret reasons for failure to improve die design and production processes.
- Preparation and Inspection: Prepare and inspect finished work to ensure it meets quality standards.
- Problem-Solving: Approach problems in a lateral manner, making logical and well-reasoned decisions to resolve issues.
- Technical Skills: Accurately work with and interpret numbers and technical detail, demonstrating attention to detail.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Mechanical Engineering qualification with a minimum of 3 years' experience.
- Skills: Ability to design both solid and hollow extrusion dies, accurate inspection and correction of extrusion dies, ability to analyze die failure and interpret reasons for failure, preparation and inspection of finished work, lateral approach to problem-solving, and accurate work with and interpretation of numbers and technical detail.
- Personal Qualities: Understanding of the importance of quality to the business and demonstration of attention to detail.
