Job Description:

We are seeking a Field Service Controller to join our team in Perth. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and optimising the scheduling and dispatching of Field Service Technicians to customer sites to address breakdowns, scheduled maintenance and repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling and dispatching of Field Service Technicians to customer locations based on geographic location, skills, and urgency of service requests.
  • Monitoring real-time field activities and adjusting schedules as necessary to meet customer needs and ensure timely completion of service jobs.
  • Communicating job details, including location, customer contact information, and service requirements, to field technicians accurately and promptly.
  • Optimising routes and schedules to minimise travel time and maximise efficiency, reducing operational costs where possible.
  • Handling customer enquiries in a professional and empathetic manner, working towards swift resolution.
  • Collaborating with field technicians and other relevant departments to troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues efficiently.
  • Maintaining accurate records relating to service and breakdown jobs.
  • Coordinating quoted Additional Repair jobs and third-party suppliers for breakdown jobs.
  • Monitoring service Work In Progress.
  • Monitoring technician's work hours on a daily basis.
  • Generating regular reports on service metrics, including response times, completion rates, job totals etc and presenting findings to the Field Service Manager.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience in the Material Handling Industry or Industrial Services Industry also advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience using an ERP system (M3, SAP etc) advantageous.
  • Proven ability to plan and prioritise work.
  • Superior communication, interpersonal & time management skills.
  • Proven ability to effectively resolve problems in a timely manner.
