About Pitcher Partners Newcastle:

We are a Professional Chartered Accounting firm located in the heart of Newcastle West, offering a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven trainee to join our team.

The role involves gaining valuable experience working with a diverse range of clients in a professional environment, where you can apply your theoretical knowledge into practice. You will be supported by a mentor who will guide you on tasks set to you, helping develop your skills.

As a trainee, you will become part of a fast-growing business unit with a broad client base, providing scope for variety. Our structure provides easy access to our Partners, whilst working predominantly for the Team Manager.

If you have recently graduated, we offer study support towards CA if not already attained. We seek motivated, self-starting individuals who embrace change and innovation, passionate about developing a career in professional services.

Key Requirements:

  • Nearing completion of an accounting degree or recent graduate within the last two years
  • Australian Citizen or PR holder

We are looking for individuals with:

  • Confident demeanor and ability to build relationships with clients
  • Reporting skills, comfortable attending to corporate, trust, super, and individual accounting and taxation compliance needs
  • Taxation & accounting technical skills, with ability to demonstrate application in the work environment
  • Problem-solving skills, able to think outside the square
  • Entrepreneurial spirit

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience
