Our team at Uniting AgeWell - Forest Hill is committed to delivering high-quality services and care to our residents, and we are seeking an experienced and motivated Cleaning and Maintenance Assistant to join our team.

About the role:

This is a casual position that requires the successful candidate to ensure that all areas of the residence are kept hygienic and presentable, contribute to a comfortable, welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors, and cleaning in line with all chemical and infection control requirements and accreditation standards.

About you:

You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents. You also:

  • Demonstrate a high level of kindness and respect for residents' property and privacy
  • Have previous experience cleaning in a large organisation or commercial environment (preferred but not essential)
  • Have sound knowledge of OH&S procedures, relevant chemicals and safe work practices (preferred but not essential)
  • An understanding of infection control procedures
  • Work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision as required and as part of a team
  • Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions
  • Are committed to being part of a workplace culture based on the BEST way of life (Believe, Excel, Support and Trust)

Essentials for working in Aged Care:

  • A current Working With Children Check card
  • Current and ongoing flu vaccinations
  • Australian working rights
  • Ability to pass a national police clearance and NDIS Clearance
