About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and safety-focused Industrial Operations Specialist to join our team at Yarwun Refinery in Gladstone, Central Queensland.

As an Industrial Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in the day-to-day operation of the refinery, conducting routine inspections and tasks to maintain equipment in operational condition. You will also participate in safety interactions and improvements, working collaboratively with your leaders, crew, and training team to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the daily operation of the refinery, including start-up, monitoring, and shut-down of equipment.
  • Conduct regular inspections and tasks to maintain equipment in operational condition.
  • Participate in safety interactions and improvements, identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with the leadership team to develop and implement process improvements.

Requirements:

  • A proven track record of working in a heavy industrial environment, trade, or process.
  • A current and valid driver's license.
  • The ability to work on a roster, at heights, and in confined spaces.
  • The ability to operate mobile equipment, including forklifts, elevated work platforms (EWPs), overhead gantry cranes, bobcats, or dozers (preferred but not essential).
  • The ability to work in a manually intensive environment.
