Job Title: Advanced Autonomous Systems DeveloperBoeing Defence Australia is seeking an experienced military aviator with operational experience in fast/large jet systems and/or Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) to join their team as an Advanced Autonomous Systems Developer.Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize expertise in complex airborne systems, sensors, and weapons to contribute to the development of autonomous airborne systems.
  • Guide the development of airborne autonomous systems for the Australian military.
  • Operate unmanned systems during developmental/production ground and flight test.
  • Assist in the development of critical capability tools to support system operations.
  • Create flight/mission plans and coordinate with team members to ensure test and safety objectives are satisfied.
  • Evaluate system performance and human factors characteristics to ensure capability objectives are met.
  • Provide advice to the development team on airworthiness criteria and operational employment of UAVs.
  • Support the training and instruction of customer aircrew on BDA UAV operation.
About You:You are a highly competent aviation specialist with extensive experience in aircraft types, sensors, weapons, and unmanned platforms. Your skills include developmental/acceptance/operational test experience and a broad understanding of complex airborne systems.Requirements:
  • Australian citizenship is required due to defence security clearance requirements.
  • Current security clearance is highly desirable.
