Environmental Consultant Role

The role of Environmental Consultant involves providing expert advice on environmental impact assessment and management best practices to clients and team members.

This includes managing environmental approvals projects across multiple industries, contributing to the development and implementation of team business plans and strategies, and building and maintaining effective relationships with clients and internal teams.

As an Environmental Consultant, you will work within multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects across various sectors, producing high-quality, clear reports.

Occasional travel for field assessments and site walkovers may be required.

  • Key responsibilities include providing strategic guidance on environmental sustainability and recommending innovative solutions to complex environmental challenges.
  • Developing and implementing environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • A degree in Environmental Science, Town Planning, Engineering, or a related field is essential.
  • 5-10 years' experience in environmental roles within consulting, industry, or regulation is highly desirable.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary projects and client management skills are advantageous.
  • Knowledge of SA and Commonwealth environmental legislation, policies, standards, and guidelines is necessary.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
