This role reports to the Executive General Manager of the Scheme Support Division.

About the Branch

Transformation Branch leads the delivery of the agency's transformation program and is the steward of the agency's data assets.

The branch has five sections: Program Management, Product Management, Value Management, Change Management, and Data and Innovation.

The Branch provides assurance functions to the transformation program and manages scope on behalf of the agency.

Data is at the centre of the CER's operations, and the Branch is delivering the data strategy to support the CER's core regulatory function.

It will be leading the Agency's involvement in use of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Role Responsibilities and Duties

The General Manager Transformation is a key member of the agency's business leadership team and is the lead for the CER's transformation program facilitating business prioritisation, alignment, reporting, and change management.

The General Manager Transformation is also the Chief Data Officer and Data Champion responsible for the delivery of the CER's data strategy.

  • Lead and manage transformation initiatives in alignment with CER priorities, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and facilitate agency prioritisation decisions.
  • Provide the agency executive with implementation options for consideration.
  • Work closely with the Chief Information Officer and Digital Services Branch to facilitate program delivery.
  • Manage program reporting, both internally and externally to the Digital Transformation Agency.
  • Oversee the change management activities for the transformation program.
  • Take a lead role in the CER's submissions for the implementation of government policy and track the delivery of these policy initiatives.
  • Develop and implement data and AI strategies, policies, and governance frameworks to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant legislation.
  • As the Data Champion foster an environment of drive data-driven decision-making and support the agency's strategic objectives.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with both the transformation program and the agency's data management and reporting.
