Job Title: Service Mechanic Technician

Redfield Resources is seeking a skilled Service Mechanic Technician to join our team in Kalgoorlie. As a Service Mechanic Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel generators, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in daily pre-start meetings with the commissioning team and respond to client inquiries.
  • Maintain the plant in accordance with client service manuals.
  • Check lubrication and cooling levels daily and adhere to standards for adding/changing lubricating oil and coolant.
  • Troubleshoot and correct plant operation issues.
  • Prepare plant run schedules and distribute daily run sheets to relevant personnel.
  • Preserve plant functionality.
  • Notify clients of refueling requirements.
  • Clean and empty bunds during plant operation and re-fueling to prevent spills.
  • Ensure plant usage adheres to client specifications and applicable laws or regulations.
  • Prevent plant usage beyond rated capacity or in a way that could cause excessive wear.
  • Examine the plant and ensure it is not used if damaged, malfunctioning, or in a dangerous condition.
  • Notify clients immediately if the plant malfunctions or fails to function as intended.

Requirements:
  • Australian-recognized HD Mechanical Trade Certificate.
  • Cummins KTA1250 experience (highly regarded).
  • Experience in power generation/diesel generator fault finding and repair.
  • Current and valid driver's license.
  • Power station operator experience.
  • Experience in the mining and resources industry (desirable).
  • Excellent HSE compliance and ability to work unsupervised.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical at all times.
