A highly skilled lawyer is required to join our Melbourne team in professional indemnity, D&O and liability.

About the role:

As a Senior Associate, you will provide advice on indemnity, liability, quantum and strategy for resolution and defending claims against solicitors, barristers, engineers, construction professionals, accountants and other financial services, estate agents and medical practitioners.

Main responsibilities:

  • File management including meeting deadlines and managing documents
  • Reviewing evidence and preparing advices on indemnity, liability and quantum
  • Communicating with clients both in writing and verbally
  • Identifying issues, briefing experts and analysing opinion
  • Preparing court documents, including statements of evidence
  • Drafting correspondence and communicating with other practitioners
  • Preparing for, managing online processes and appearing in Court
  • Briefing and liaising with counsel
  • Business development and nurturing client relationships
