Job Summary:

The Australian Defence Force is seeking a highly motivated and physically fit individual to join our Security Forces team as an Air Force Security Specialist. As a member of this team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and safety of our airbases and personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support airbase security and Ground Defence operations
  • Participate in vehicle control point, observation post, reaction force, and vehicle and foot patrolling duties
  • Train in legal powers, negotiating skills, self-defence measures, use of various weapons, and tactical skills used for patrolling and reacting to security threats
  • Work closely with members of the public and other Defence personnel

Requirements:

  • High commitment to physical fitness
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Training and Development:

As an Air Force Security Specialist, you will undergo comprehensive training at the No. 1 Recruit Training Unit at RAAF Base Wagga and the RAAF Security and Fire School at RAAF Base Amberley. This training will equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to perform your duties effectively.
