Storeperson Assistant

We are seeking a diligent and energetic Storeperson to support the day-to-day operations of our stores. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Stores Operations Officer and report to the Senior Manager HSW.
Key Responsibilities- Assist clients with inquiries about chemicals, laboratory consumables, or chemical waste by phone, email, or in person.
- Receive deliveries, check against purchase orders, identify stock lines, and manage back orders and redistributions.
- Report any delivery discrepancies to suppliers and conduct stock counts to determine daily stock needs.
- Pick and pack orders for chemicals and laboratory consumables, as well as prepare chemical waste bottles and labels daily for delivery.
- Deliver chemicals and collect chemical waste from schools and centers, ensuring compliance with dangerous goods regulations.
- Assist with laboratory relocations of hazardous chemicals between sites.
- Operate manual handling equipment, Mobile Elevated Work Platform, Self Contained Breathing Apparatus, and forklift truck as required.
- Assist with monthly safety audits and other duties as directed by the Store Manager.
- Adhere to Workplace Health and Safety regulations and wear required PPE.
