About the Role

The Technology Director will play a key role in driving the engineering function within the squads, focusing on improving quality, velocity, architecture, and collaboration. This individual will work closely with Architects to ensure high-level design aligns with enterprise architecture and collaborate with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to establish a sprint plan.

  • Delivery Leadership – Partnering with Architects, Scrum Masters, and other key stakeholders to achieve architectural alignment and delivery excellence.
  • Engineering Leadership – Developing and maintaining core engineering practice performance metrics.
  • Contributing to the library of artefacts for owned platforms.
  • Providing development opportunities for developers, coaching them on learning paths, architecture decisions, and best practices.
  • Empowering and supporting engineers on a day-to-day basis to enhance their performance in the squads.
  • Identifying technical design improvements.

About You

  • Proven experience in application development, particularly in digital or customer-facing products.
  • Experience with Agile Development Life Cycle (ADLC) processes, including code versioning, packaging, test-driven development, continuous integration, test automation, code analysis, and code quality metrics.
  • Strong understanding of team leadership, with a proven track record of uplifting and driving delivery.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, with a passion for exploring new concepts, tools, and products.
