About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Senior Civil Engineer to play a pivotal role in shaping the infrastructure of tomorrow. As a leader in our dynamic team, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver sustainable and efficient designs that meet client needs and regulatory requirements.

In this role, you will apply your technical expertise and creativity to projects across various sectors, including transportation, utilities, and urban development. You will be responsible for managing project teams and the delivery of projects to budget, time, and quality for various clients.

You will provide technical/design expertise and assist in the management of engineering and support staff. Additionally, you will support the development of GHD's civil consultancy both locally and nationally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing project teams and delivering projects to budget, time, and quality for various clients
  • Providing technical/design expertise and assisting in the management of engineering and support staff
  • Supporting the development of GHD's civil consultancy
  • Business Development, Fee Proposal writing, and Fee Estimates
  • Mentoring younger staff to assist in their development and delivery of solutions for clients
  • Designing and documenting Civil Engineering Infrastructure, including Road Design, Earthworks, and Storm Water Drainage
  • Managing project development, design, and construction, ensuring minimization of construction risks
  • Conducting Safety In Design reviews and constructability reviews
  • Managing job delivery on time and within budget, adhering to GHD QA systems and processes
  • Collaborating with clients and team members to provide high-quality engineering consultancy services

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary range of $140,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience. This is a full-time position based in our Sydney office. You will have opportunities for professional growth and development, as well as a supportive and inclusive work environment.
