Job Opportunity: Security Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Specialist to join our National Security & Resilience team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert advice on security issues, including sanctions and foreign interference risk.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Driving inquiries into security issues and producing targeted assessments, including recommendations of appropriate mitigations as required.
  • Supporting the management and coordination of compliance-related activities necessary to assist in adherence to internal policy requirements and external legislative standards regarding defence export controls.
  • Working with the team to receive and manage queries regarding defence export controls, sanctions, and security-related due diligence, and providing advice to individuals/groups/teams.
  • Liaising with internal governance and audit stakeholders to assist in internal audit and assessment activities.
  • Providing regular updates and/or training across the organisation to continue to uplift security awareness and compliance with relevant policy and procedures.
  • Liaising with regulators or government agencies to arrange outreach sessions and leverage other opportunities for training & education.
  • Contributing to wider National Security & Resilience project initiatives across the organisation.
