Accounts Payable Specialist for Sports Apparel Division

Six Degrees Executive is a leading recruitment agency that connects top talent with exciting job opportunities. Our client, a prominent sports apparel brand based in Springvale, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable and Receivable Officer to join their dynamic team.
Job SummaryThis is a 3-month contract role with the possibility of extension and/or permanence. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliations. Key responsibilities include:
- Receiving and verifying invoices, processing payments accurately.
- Managing vendor relationships and resolving discrepancies.
- Recording transactions and performing AP reconciliations.
- Generating and issuing invoices promptly, monitoring collections.
- Responding to customer inquiries and managing credit limits.
- Allocating payments accurately and reconciling AR ledger.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Utilizing accounting software for data entry and reporting.
We are looking for an individual with 2-5 years of experience in accounts payable and receivable functions, possessing a good understanding of accounting procedures. The ideal candidate should have:
- A high level of attention to detail with proven quality and accuracy of work.
- Strong reconciliation skills.
- Proactive research, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- A true team player.
- Intermediate level of Word and Excel.
This role offers a competitive salary of $60,000 - $70,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a attractive remuneration package, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced industry.
