Maintenance Professional - Electrical

We seek a skilled electrical maintenance professional to perform routine and breakdown maintenance on hydro generating assets. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for various duties including:

  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards through high-quality electrical installation and repair work.
  • Carrying out scheduled and emergency maintenance on generators, transformers, motors, and switchgear.
  • Collaborating in work planning to develop accurate schedules and job steps.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement related to maintenance activities.
  • Operating auxiliary plant and equipment within your competencies and authorization.
  • Providing guidance and mentorship to apprentices and other relevant employees and contractors.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • A certificate in Electrical Trade and Qualified Supervisors Certificate Electrician.
  • 5 years post-trade experience in the electrical industry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in electrical engineering, especially installation and maintenance of large plant and auxiliary equipment.
  • A thorough understanding of electrical operations and the condition of generating plant and equipment.
  • The ability to work in diverse environments.
  • A sound knowledge of relevant standards and regulations.
