Lead Construction Project Manager

Powerlink is seeking an experienced construction project manager to lead the delivery of our transmission lines and substation components. This is a great opportunity to join a leader in the energy industry and contribute to building the energy grid of the future for Queensland.

The successful candidate will have gained professional experience in overseeing the construction of multiple high voltage transmission lines and substation projects. They will be responsible for planning and managing on-site construction activities, including outage and network access management, contractor management, quality management, HSE experience, landholder and stakeholder experience, and material co-ordination.

The ideal candidate will have strong time management, planning, and organisational skills, as well as tenacity and initiative to work through complex construction activities and issues. They will also have excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills, achieving success through broad collaboration, consultation, negotiation, and influencing skills.

Qualifications include Electrical Trade and/or Electrical Engineering tertiary qualifications coupled with significant experience in leading the construction of HV Assets. We encourage applicants with relevant HV transmission line construction experience based in Gladstone or Townsville to apply.
