We are seeking a personable Accountant to join our Business Advisory team in Darwin. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your career within a supportive team environment, working with a variety of clients and having access to extensive learning and development opportunities.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that will see you progress into the next phase of your career with solid training, support, and technical exposure. You will work closely with the Partner and other senior members of the team, assisting with the provision of advice and ad hoc advisory work to provide a range of accounting solutions to a diverse and growing client base.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Producing and maintaining financial reports using Xero, MYOB, and Reckon Software
  2. Preparing management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and KPIs for clients
  3. Preparing BAS and IAS returns
  4. Preparing tax returns, FBT, and financial statements for different business entity types
  5. Calculating and reconciling payroll tax
  6. Assisting with the development of junior colleagues

About You

The ideal candidate will demonstrate established accounting experience, a relevant tertiary qualification, and be studying or aspiring to CA or CPA qualifications. You will possess a good technical knowledge and ability to generate financial statements and management reports, as well as being able to confidently communicate the contents to clients. Ideally, you will be proactive and personable, have a high level of attention to detail, and big plans for your future.
