Financial Management Specialist

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Management Specialist to play a vital role in ensuring the financial management of our architectural practice.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive, detail-oriented professional with the ability to work closely with leadership and oversee a small finance team.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Preparing and delivering full monthly management accounts
  • Working closely with Leadership to provide accurate monthly reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Overseeing the Finance Officer to ensure efficient day-to-day financial operations
  • Managing corporate finance requirements, including BAS returns, FBT returns, and tax preparation
  • Ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory obligations
  • Providing financial analysis and insights to support practice strategy and operational decisions
  • Maintaining strong internal controls and efficient financial systems

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably within professional services
  • Strong corporate finance knowledge and technical accounting skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with partners and colleagues across the practice
  • Highly organized, with strong time management and prioritization abilities
  • An analytical mindset with attention to accuracy and detail
  • Proficiency in Xero accounting software and financial reporting tools

The ideal candidate will hold a degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, and may also have CPA/CA qualification (or be working towards it).
