About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineer - Junior to join our team at BG&E. As a junior engineer, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our experienced engineers and contribute to various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist project teams with documentation, reports, and engineering calculations.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary workshops and collaborate with other engineering disciplines.
  • Support construction teams with RFIs and accompany engineers on site inspections.
  • Learn and apply analysis, design, asset management, and reporting skills.
  • Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with relevant legislation, corporate requirements, and systems.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Progressed at least halfway into your Civil Engineering Degree with an excellent academic record.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of the MS Office suite of tools, with experience using AutoCAD or structural modelling tools an advantage.
  • A strong desire to learn and solve problems.
  • High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work in a full-time capacity with us throughout much of the year, in alignment with university dates and our annual shutdown.
