Heritage Christian School is seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our grounds maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving the school's grounds to a high standard.

• Perform general grounds maintenance duties including mowing, edging, hedge trimming, weeding, and pruning
• Assist with beautification of school gardens, landscaped areas, and outdoor spaces
• Operate and maintain gardening and maintenance equipment such as mowers, whipper snippers, blowers, and hedge trimmers

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out daily cleaning tasks including removing rubbish and ensuring site tidiness
• Support minor property repairs and maintenance as directed by the Property Manager
• Assist with school event setup/pack down (e.g. moving furniture, setting up marquees or signage)
• Identify and report hazards or maintenance issues to the Property Manager
• Work safely and comply with all WHS requirements and school policies
• Any other tasks required of them by the Principal or his delegate

Essential Criteria:

• Profess Christian faith and be an active member of a Bible believing Christian church
• Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or similar outdoor/manual work
• Physically fit and capable of undertaking strenuous manual tasks in all weather conditions
• Basic knowledge of gardening tools and equipment
• Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and pride in keeping spaces neat and well-presented
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to supporting the school's values and team culture
• Willingness to obtain/hold a Working with Children Check
• Driver's licence (if required for operating school vehicles or equipment)
