A.I.R Recruitment is pleased to partner with a renowned national engineering company in their search for an experienced CNC Machinist.
About the Role
This exciting opportunity has arisen due to growth and expansion of the manufacturing facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a variety of CNC machines, including Mazak and DMG Mori, as well as manual turning and milling machines.
Key Responsibilities
- Machining Operations: Programming and setting duties on CNC machines, with experience using Mazak and/or DMG Mori preferred.
- CAM Experience: Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and Fusion 360, with knowledge of G-Code and CAM software highly desirable.
- Component Production: Producing high-quality components from customer drawings, ensuring timely completion and meeting production targets.
- Maintenance and Quality Control: Regularly inspecting and maintaining machinery, as well as monitoring quality control procedures to ensure consistency.
- Training and Development: Participating in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Benefits Package
The successful candidate will enjoy a competitive salary, with the option to negotiate rates up to $52 per hour, plus superannuation. Other benefits include:

- Option of rostered shifts: day work (6am-3pm) or afternoon shift (2.30pm-midnight)
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Proven experience in CNC machining operations
- Familiarity with Mazak and/or DMG Mori machines
- Knowledge of G-Code and CAM software
- Strong understanding of quality control procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office
Estimate Salary Range: $45-$52 per hour, depending on experience.
