System Administrator Needed

We are seeking a System Administrator to join the technical team and contribute to the development of critical systems that support the Australian Defence Force.

This role will suit experienced System Administrators interested in enhancing their skills and knowledge across a range of technologies.

As a System Administrator, you will work alongside a highly skilled technical workforce required to transition new systems into operation and ensure ongoing sustainment.

Job Description

The Role is to maintain and support systems, software, databases and associated hardware. This includes:

  • Maintaining system integrity and ensuring data security.
  • Demonstrating familiarity with system orchestration tools such as Ansible or Salt.
  • Installing and sustaining new systems and assisting in their transition to operations.
  • Collaborating in problem solving and leveraging this to achieve outcomes.
  • Applying experience and knowledge across a breadth of hardware and software solutions.

  • Providing technical expertise and guidance to team members.
  • Developing and implementing system improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science or related field.
  • Proven experience in system administration and management.
  • Knowledge of system orchestration tools and scripts.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
