TOMRA Cleanaway is a leading container deposit scheme network operator in Australia. As a joint venture between TOMRA Collections and Cleanaway, the company aims to drive value from recycling by being at the forefront of the domestic circular economy.
The organisation has been appointed as the Network Operator for the Tasmanian Container Refund Scheme, Recycle Rewards, commencing in mid-2025. Operating across Tasmania, TOMRA Cleanaway focuses on developing meaningful local partnerships that generate active community participation in container deposit schemes.
Salary
We offer a competitive salary package for a 9-month fixed-term contract, with potential opportunity for a permanent position upon completion of the initial term.
The estimated annual salary for this role is around $80,000 AUD, based on industry standards and location.
Job Description
The primary objective of this position is to develop and increase demand and market awareness of the Container Refund Scheme. Additionally, you will engage new business opportunities within the designated territory in Tasmania.
Your key responsibilities include:
- BUILDING AND FOSTERING RELATIONSHIPS WITH KEY STAKEHOLDERS: State Government, community groups, local government, and major industry bodies.
- IDENTIFYING AND SECURING NEW RETURN POINT PARTNERS AS REQUIRED.
- ENSURING COMPLETION OF SCHEDULED SITE INSPECTIONS ALONG WITH ASSOCIATED AUDIT REQUIREMENTS AND DOCUMENTATION.
- UPHOLDING THE HIGHEST STANDARDS OF PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT, PERSONAL PRESENTATION, AND COMPANY IMAGE.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A valid driver's licence.
- Proficiency in sales, account management, and business development.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Experience in retail is highly desirable.
- The ability to handle customer complaints effectively.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of Container Deposit Schemes or other similar product stewardship programs is desirable.
- Experience in account management and business development within a commercial business.
