Finance Business Partner, Capital Planning Specialist

About the Role

The Finance Business Partner will be responsible for building and improving end-to-end capital planning processes, leading business case assessments for business initiatives, and challenging decisions to ensure they align with the company's strategic objectives.

You will also:

  • Enhance capital reporting through providing greater insight and analysis on investment and returns
  • Review and assess all project business cases prior to submission for approval by the Executive team at the fortnightly Capital Approval Committee (CAC)
  • Administer CAC & Minor CAC Forums, board project submissions, and drive project governance
  • Lead pre-CAC sessions with the General Manager, Corporate Strategy & Capital prior to fortnightly CAC
  • Develop improvement ideas on how to improve management of capital within the business and gain ownership/buy-in across the business
  • Strengthen relationships across finance teams, brands, and business stakeholders
About You and Your Skills

We are looking for a Finance Business Partner with experience preparing and reviewing business cases, and a varied finance background covering financial control, FP&A, commercial decision support.

You will need:

  • CPA/CA qualified
  • FMCG or Retail experience highly regarded
  • Advanced time management and planning skills, ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment
  • Advanced communication & presentation skills (verbal and written), ability to present complex data & concepts to enable decision making
  • Understanding of standard financial KPIs across the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
