Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer - Complex Network Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to lead and execute the design of complex electrical distribution networks. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in designing distributor networks and a deep understanding of electrical systems and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the design and development of electrical distribution networks, ensuring they meet project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Overseeing all phases of electrical design projects from concept to completion, including coordination with stakeholders, project planning, and risk management.
  • Utilising advanced engineering tools and software to create detailed design schematics, load calculations, and network layouts.
  • Ensuring designs comply with relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Working closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and clients, to deliver high-quality solutions and address any design-related issues.
  • Providing technical guidance and support to junior engineers and team members.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 - 8 years of experience in electrical design engineering, with a proven track record of designing distributor networks.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, or similar), and a strong understanding of electrical distribution systems and network design principles.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry standards, codes, and best practices related to electrical distribution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to tackle complex design challenges.
