Project Lead

We are seeking an experienced Project Lead to manage the delivery of infrastructure projects across the ACT. As a key member of our team, you will oversee project development and planning, subcontractor coordination, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead project delivery from development and planning to completion, ensuring works are executed safely, efficiently, and in line with client expectations and industry standards.
  • Implement and operationalise governance frameworks as set by the organisation and client, ensuring consistent compliance and alignment across all project activities.
  • Manage subcontractors and direct reports, providing clear direction, resolving issues quickly, and maintaining high standards of performance and safety.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, including senior management, engineers, and field teams, to support smooth project execution and collaboration.
  • Oversee cost control and budgeting, ensuring accurate forecasting, tracking, and reporting to keep projects within financial targets.
  • Monitor project schedules and progress, identifying risks early and implementing solutions to keep work on track and avoid delays.
  • Interpret and analyse project data, using insights to flag issues, manage risks, and support informed decision-making.
Requirements:
  • A trade qualification and/or tertiary qualification in a relevant field, as well as a minimum 5 years' experience managing infrastructure projects, ideally in the electrical or utilities space.
  • A formal Project Management qualification (e.g. PMBOK) is desirable.
  • Strong subcontractor and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and reporting.
  • Solid understanding of safety standards and public space work environments.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A current driver's licence and willingness to work across office and field locations.
