Geographic Information Systems Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst to join our team. As a GIS Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting GIS project development, spatial analysis, and data management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting spatial analysis, mapping, and modeling to meet environmental and regulatory requirements.
  • Supporting data collection in the field and integrating results into GIS systems.
  • Analysing and interpreting geospatial data for site assessments, producing clear, actionable reports.
  • Maintaining and updating GIS databases, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and currency of all datasets.
  • Creating high-quality maps and visual presentations to communicate findings effectively.
  • Collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams and clients, providing GIS and data management expertise and insight.
  • Responding to mapping requests and ensuring GIS data quality.
About This Role

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A recent or soon-to-be graduate degree in Geomatics, GIS, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of ESRI Suite and QGIS.
  • Skills in spatial analysis, data management, and cartography.
  • Familiarity with ESDAT and environmental data management.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Valid authority to work in Australia.
