Looking for a new career opportunity? We have an exciting part-time job opening for a skilled cleaner to join our teamAs a cleaner, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our early childhood education and care centre. Your duties will include:- Cleaning floors using manual or mechanical cleaning equipment (mops, vacuum cleaners, floor cleaners)- Emptying rubbish and recycling bins, ensuring bin liners are replaced and bins are kept clean and free from smell- Laundry washing and folding- Dusting and tidying of all assigned areas, rooms and furniture- Cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms and kitchens- Washing windows, walls, mirrors and glass surfaces and ensure they are streak free- Ensuring bathrooms are stocked with all necessary items including soaps, toilet paper, hand towels, etc.- Maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and materials- Ensuring that chemicals and cleaning products are handled and stored safely- Responding to scheduled and ad-hoc cleaning requests
Requirements:- Previous experience as a cleaner in an educational (school or early childhood) or commercial setting is highly regarded- Current WWCC or willingness to obtain- Appropriate knowledge of cleaning products, safe handling, storage and disposal of chemicals, or willingness to learn- Ability to follow directions, policies and procedures- Ability to work autonomously and have a strong Work Health and Safety focus- A flexible approach and attitude with excellent communication skills
