Thriving in a fast-paced environment, we seek a skilled professional to manage conferences and events at our esteemed beachside hotel. As Conference & Events Executive, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving sales growth, and promoting the hotel as a premier destination for meetings and events.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a creative flair for event planning. With a passion for delivering results, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of events, exceeding client expectations, and driving repeat business.

About the Role
  • Conduct market research to stay ahead of competition and identify new opportunities
  • High level of organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Assist with sales and account management from initial client enquiry to contract proposals and upselling
  • Manage guest satisfaction outcomes to facilitate repeat business and customer retention
  • Sell the hotel as a total concept to maximise business in all areas - rooms, conferences, food and beverage
  • Actively seek networking and business opportunities
  • Communicate effectively across multiple departments
  • Manage all communications between clients and vendors, respond to queries
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Event Management or equivalent (desirable)
  • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a hotel environment
  • Energetic multi-tasker with meticulous attention to detail and creative approach to planning events
  • Exceptional communicator with natural ability to develop strong rapport with clients, guests, and internally with the Sales and Banquets teams
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure
  • Ability to think on your feet and find innovative solutions to problems
  • Exemplary customer service and grooming standards
  • Demonstrated sales and negotiation skills
  • Proactive, shows initiative, and able to work autonomously
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills
  • Creative flair for events
  • Proven ability to motivate and manage staff
  • Advanced working knowledge of the Microsoft Computer Suite
