Legal Advisor Role

We are seeking an experienced legal advisor to undertake litigation on behalf of the Department of Police and Emergency Management, focusing on family violence matters as part of the Safe at Home strategy.

The successful candidate will provide critical legal advice, conduct summary court advocacy, and support members of DPFEM in their work.

  • Provide expert legal guidance to DPFEM team members
  • Undertake challenging cases, including summary court representation
Key Responsibilities

The role requires providing legal counsel to DPFEM staff, conducting complex litigation, and supporting team members in their work.

The ideal candidate must be admitted or qualified for admission as a Barrister or practitioner of the Supreme Court of Tasmania, with more than 2 years relevant post-admission experience.
