About the Role

The Junior Football Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of Junior Football Leagues under AFL South East Service Agreement, fostering a professional environment for affiliated clubs and stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support:
  • Coordinates fixture preparation for the MPJFL, SEJ, and FDJFL competitions.
  • Liaises with the AFL South East Umpiring Department to address fixturing concerns.
  • Manages clearance administration for player transfers within the MPJFL, SEJ & FDJFL.
  • Oversees the Competition Management System (PlayHQ) for the MPJFL, SEJ & FDJFL.
  • Liaises with clubs to facilitate communication and ensure compliance with competition rules.
  • Prepares reports to inform stakeholders.
  • Reviews club by-laws annually and ensures rule adherence.
  • Distributes meeting agendas and documents accurately.
  • Presents an Annual Report to the AFLSE Annual General Meeting.
Event Planning
  • Collaborates in planning, managing, and delivering the MPJFL, SEJ & FDJFL final series.
  • Coordinated events like Presentation Nights, ensuring timely stakeholder communication.
  • Attends league meetings and events as necessary.
  • Supports clubs in securing venue usage for finals.
  • Coordinates medal and trophy distribution for finals and League awards.
  • Provides support for match day duties during finals of other Leagues as required.
Community Engagement
  • Fosters strong relationships with member clubs, AFL Victoria, and neighboring leagues.
  • Cultivates partnerships with community-based organizations.
  • Supports club officials in daily operations.
  • Communicates effectively with club officials and stakeholders.
  • Develops strategies to enhance club professionalism and organizational efficiency.
  • Maintains up-to-date reporting for league executive and club meetings.
  • Serves as a resource for player registration inquiries.
Flexibility
  • Some weekend work may be necessary.
  • A flexible work arrangement is available.
  • Remote working options include three days and two flexible working days per week.
