Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Quantitative Market Risk professional to join our Global Market Risk team based in Sydney. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining Market Risk models, including regulatory capital models for Traded Market Risk and Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book.

You will engage with various stakeholders, build out new models, and enhance existing models to meet the dynamic requirements of Market Risk.

Main Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain Market Risk models, including regulatory capital models for Traded Market Risk and Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book
  • Engage with various stakeholders, including risk managers, traders, and senior management
  • Develop and implement new models and enhance existing models to meet changing market conditions
  • Analyse and interpret data to identify trends and patterns that inform market risk decisions
  • Communicate effectively with key stakeholders, including providing regular updates on model performance and risk exposures
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of fundamental quantitative/computational finance principles and techniques
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient programming skills and ability to traverse various programming languages (such as Python, R, and SQL)
  • Tertiary qualification in finance, mathematics, statistics, engineering or a related quantitative discipline
  • Ability to balance being immersed in detailed day-to-day activities whilst managing longer-term activities and objectives
