About the Role

Hunter Valley Private Hospital is seeking a skilled CSSD Technician to join our team. As a CSSD Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of infection control and sterilization in our theatre and clinical areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspection, packaging, and sterilization of instrumentation
  • Compliance with AS/NZ standards 4187 2014 and GENCA
  • Operating and interpreting machinery operational requirements
  • Reporting and documenting quality activities
  • Prioritizing instrumentation and processes

Selection Criteria

  • Sound knowledge of AS/NZ 4187 2014
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a CSSD role
  • Demonstrated knowledge of instrumentation and tracking systems
  • Endoscopy reprocessing experience or willingness to learn
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Intermediate computer literacy skills
  • Certificate III qualifications
  • A passion for promoting best practice patient care
