Melbourne Airport is seeking a highly skilled Safety Business Partner to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of a sustainably safe operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Local Leaders to identify and spearhead improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing safety protocols.
  • Support Health and Safety Consultative Processes within designated locations.
  • Coordinate and Participate in Risk Assessments to identify, control, and mitigate workplace and operational hazards.
  • Engage with Frontline Staff to validate compliance with dnata policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
  • Lead Investigations into Incidents and Near Misses, ensuring thorough analysis and follow-up.
  • Develop and Implement Sustainable Corrective Action Plans, offering guidance and support to leaders in their execution.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in Safety IT Systems, overseeing incident reporting, investigation, audits, and necessary actions to support business leaders.
  • Cultivate a Positive Safety Culture by promoting awareness, engagement, and accountability across all levels of the organization.
  • Encourage the Reporting of Safety Concerns and Suggestions for Improvement, fostering an environment of continuous enhancement.
  • Utilize Data Analytics to Identify Trends and Measure Safety Performance, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare and Deliver Regular Reports for management, highlighting key safety metrics and areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Certification IV in Health and Safety.
  • Proven Experience in Risk Assessment and Incident Investigation.
  • This role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne, and our Regional Ports (Brisbane, Perth, or Adelaide).
Desirable Criteria
  • Previous Experience in Safety within Aviation, Warehousing, Transportation, or Logistics Environments.
