About The Role

The Seasons for Life Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting school communities through the delivery of Seasons for Growth education programs.

This position leads the implementation of a national suicide prevention and postvention initiative, focusing on young people impacted by suicide and other significant losses.

Working within the MacKillop team, the coordinator partners with schools, education leaders, and community organisations to provide tailored training, resources, and support.

The role involves developing school-specific coaching and implementation plans, delivering professional learning to educators, and expanding the reach of evidence-based grief and loss programs to strengthen wellbeing and resilience in educational settings.

About You

You are a passionate and experienced professional with a background in education, health, or a related discipline.

You bring specialist knowledge in suicide prevention and postvention and have a deep understanding of grief and loss.

You're a confident communicator and relationship builder, able to work independently while contributing to a national team.

You thrive in dynamic environments, are highly organised, and are committed to making a difference in the lives of young people and their communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with education leaders, government bodies, and community organisations to support the Seasons for Life initiative.
  • Collaborate with national partners such as headspace Schools and Communities/Be You, Standby – Support after Suicide, and Thirrilli to coordinate postvention responses.
  • Represent the organisation at stakeholder meetings, conferences, and events, promoting the initiative and its impact.
  • Consult with First Nations communities in partnership with the Cultural Consultant to ensure culturally responsive program delivery.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-sector collaboration to expand the reach and effectiveness of suicide prevention and postvention efforts.
